The key components of an AWFE include a heated cylindrical body, an internal rotor equipped with wiper blades, and a condenser. The liquid feed enters the evaporator and is evenly distributed as a thin film by the rotating wiper blades. These blades continuously agitate the liquid, promoting efficient heat transfer and preventing the buildup of residues on the heated surface. As the liquid film is heated, the more volatile components evaporate and are subsequently condensed and collected, while the concentrated residue is removed from the bottom of the unit.
